linker - C++ undefined symbol error with ForceFit -

trying launch software written in c++ (forcefit, https://aclark.chem.wsu.edu/software/) gives me following error:

./forcefit ./forcefit: symbol lookup error: ./forcefit: undefined symbol: _zn5gnome5glade3xml6createerkssrkn4glib7ustringes7_

i not have access raw code files, have searched several q/a forums giving me leads. understand it, error linked libraries. here have obtained far:

which lists me symbols executable unable find. further running c++filt on these symbol names yields following:

c++filt _zn5gnome5glade3xml6createerkssrkn4glib7ustringes7_ gnome::glade::xml::create(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&, glib::ustring const&, glib::ustring const&)  c++filt _zn4glib7ustringc1erkss glib::ustring::ustring(std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&)

unfortunately, haven't found steps needed resolve issue , not familiar c++ myself. website of executable specifies relies on g++/c++ compilers , libglade , gtkmm libraries, have installed. running fedora 23 gnome 3 if it's relevant.

thanks help!

the package linked appears badly packaged tarball. tarball includes not source code, compiled object modules, , executable.

you attempted directly execute binary unpacked tarball.

the binary was, obviously, built on other ancient, circa-2011 linux distribution' other 1 you're trying run on. and, of course, it's linked shared libraries not have, , you're seeing results of sloppily-packaged code.

you need rebuild entire code source, assuming builds @ all.
